What you need to pack.

For Curaçao you will need light summer attire. Even people who get cold easily seldom need long pants or a jacket. It does not cool off much during at night either. The casual look is good even in restaurants. Pack an extra pair of flip flops or another bikini rather than high heels or an extra jacket.

If you are planning on climbing the Christoffel hill or tend like longer walks of hikes then you will need a pair of sturdy shoes.

A hat of other kind of snug fitting head covering is advisable.

Insect repellent is best bought on Curaçao.

You will also need a flash light, hair dryer, beach towels and sun screen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30-50.

We have a small collection of English, German and Dutch books for your entertainment.

Our apartments have 120 volts with American sockets and 220 volts with German sockets.

Super markets and prices

Everything for daily use is available in the town of Tera Cora only a few kilometers down the road. The small supermarket, a bakery, filling station, pharmacy and drug store as well as a general practitioner offer everything for all your daily needs. There are larger supermarkets on the outskirts of Willemstad, perfect for stalking up on the basics for the week. We are glad to give you specific directions.

The prices are similar to German prices. Some things like milk products and certain imports are more expensive but others like meat and fish are lower priced.
